CleanWaterAdviser exists because most water filter reviews are written by people who have never tested a filter - they copy specs from Amazon listings and call it research.

We do it differently. Every certification claim on this site is checked against the official NSF International listing and the manufacturer's own published specification. Where neither source confirms it, the badge says so instead of repeating the listing.

CleanWaterAdviser is written and maintained by an editorial team, not a single reviewer with a personal testing history. No page on this site claims hands-on lab testing of a filter. What we do is check each certification claim against the manufacturer's own published data or the NSF International database, and mark it openly when we could not confirm one. No paid partnerships influence what gets recommended.
